Dear Kobe and Shaq....

I get it. You guys have buried the hatchet. You've let the bad blood bleed out from your veins and everything is water under the bridge. I get it. Really, I do. It's wonderful that black people can squabble with one another and come together at the end without somebodies mother being hauled off in tears after jumping on her son's casket. It's great to see that black folks can disagree without somebody pouring a 40 out over a homie's grave. That's a good message but this public love affair between you two must end. I think it was the Christmas game a few years back between the Lakers and the Heat when you two first publicly acknowledged one another for the first time in ages. I saw it, smiled and felt good about it. Now you two are name dropping each other in interviews, yucking it up when you're on the court at the same time and now filming advertisements for the NBA? Disgusting. I'm starting to think Shaq left his fine ass ex-wife Shaunie for Kobe.

Look I'm not about to tell two grown ass men how to conduct themselves but all this lovey dovey, "I think he's the greatest player in the NBA and should be MVP" and "There's no question he's the most dominant force the NBA's ever seen" back and forth quotes you guys have been bestowing on each other is positive and everything but it's actually about 5 or 6 years two late and doesn't matter. Maybe when you're sitting back 30 years from now both retired looking like a black ass 'Odd Couple' talking about the old days all this might be worth something but right now, at this exact moment, where both of you are trying to chase NBA immortality and cement your legacies on the basketball court you need to be more concerned with winning and not with how the other is doing in another city.
