Can Someone Please Tell Me Sarah Palin is a Fucking Joke, Please!
I mean she can't even name a news publication when given several opportunities.
New OKC Jerseys
These things are a complete joke. They look like NBA 2k Sports Video Game Custom Team jerseys.
but then again they could be wearing the new Timberwolves jerseys....
They look like WNBA jerseys. Are they serious? Stop stealing Minnesota Lynx alternate jerseys, David Stern.
LeBron Explains Why He's a Yankees/Cowboys Fan
“It’s not fun [to be questioned about it]. Am I not allowed to be a fan? When I grew up watching sports, the Cowboys were a team to love; Michael Jordan was [a player] to love. If I say I like Michael Jordan, is that a problem because I didn’t say Mark Price?” James asked. “Is that a problem? Is it? That is who I grew up watching. These are the teams and the people that inspired me. Now I broke it down for you all.”
I have no opinion whatsoever. I wouldn't root for anything Cleveland either.

One Final Post Debate Poll (I Promise)
A new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows 46% of people who watched Friday night's presidential debate say Democrat Barack Obama did a better job than Republican John McCain; 34% said McCain did better.
debate
Obama scored even better -- 52%-35% -- when debate-watchers were asked which candidate offered the best proposals for change to solve the country's problems.
More than six in 10 people or 63% in the one-day poll, taken Saturday, said they watched the first faceoff in Oxford, Miss. For those 701 people, the margin of error was +/- 4 percentage points.
The poll suggested the debate was to some extent a wash for McCain: 21% of those who watched say it gave them a more favorable view of him, 21% say less favorable and 56% say it didn't change their opinion much.
Three in 10 said their opinion of Obama became more favorable after seeing the debate, compared to 14% who said less favorable and 54% who said it didn't make much difference.
More than one-third of viewers, or 37%, said they had less confidence in McCain to fix economic problems after seeing the debate; 23% said more. For Obama, the survey results were 34% more confidence, 26% less.
Neither candidate broke away on national security and foreign policy. About a third of viewers said they had more confidence in each man on that front after the debate, and slightly less in each case said they had less confidence.
Obama held a 5-percentage-point lead over McCain, 49%-45%, in the Gallup tracking poll taken Wednesday through Friday. Tomorrow's poll will be the first to include impact from the debate.

Post Debate Coverage
-If I'm being honest Barack Obama lost the first thirty minutes to John McCain on the tax arguments and government spending arguments. No two ways about it. I'm not equivocating who is right/wrong on the policy or substantive points but strictly on the merits of debate, stylistically and rhetorically McCain had Obama on his heels. I would have to award that round 10-9 to McCain. The next thirty minutes found Obama on better footing on foreign policy and how it pertains to judgment in Iraq and how we need to go forward in Afghanistan and potentially Pakistan. Obama beasted McCain out of that debate and it wasn't close. I give that round to Obama, 10-8. The last half hour was really a toss-up of mostly of jarring insults and over the top disposition that was obviously meant to project self-confidence and assuredness but overall showed a fundamental lack in class and dignity. That aside, I thought the last round was a draw. I'd be inclined to say Obama won by decision overall as it wasn't a knockout but it just happened that when the time expired Obama had a point more than his competitor.
-McCain was a lot more knowledgeable and intelligent than I ever recalled him being but then again you don't just stumble upon the presidential nomination of a major party in the United States being mediocre so perhaps that was naive to think he wouldn't have come prepared and polished.
-Obama was very respectful and was a complete gentleman to a person I saw tonight that was neither of those two things and also deserving of none of the courtesy he was given. I suspect that wasn't lost on the millions of people who watched the debate, either.
-I think if this debate was a football game you'd say that the ball was at the fifty yard line and for an hour and half nobody got a first down. No team scored on any breakout runs or converted any long throws. There were only modest gains tonight and the ball was advanced only a few yards at any given time of the night. I'd say though, in the frame of the election overall McCain needed some kind of momentum changing event tonight as the American pendulum had been swaying more forcefully in Obama's favor and it was his job to blunt that in Mississippi and I'm not convinced he did so in the event of a tie Obama wins the larger narrative.
Anyway I'll have some polls tonight before I go to bed to see what America thought and more importantly who they saw as the winner of tonight's exchange.
Stay tuned.

Got An Idea To Help The World? Google Wants To Pay You $10 Million For It
(CNN) -- Got an idea that could change the world, or at least help a lot of people? Google wants to hear from you -- and it will pay as much as $10 million to make your idea a reality.
Google Inc. will award $10 million to solicit ideas it believes could benefit the world.
To help celebrate its 10th birthday, the ambitious Internet giant is launching an initiative to solicit, and bankroll, fresh ideas that it believes could have broad and beneficial impact on people's lives.
Called Project 10^100 (pronounced "10 to the 100th"), Google's initiative will seek input from the public and a panel of judges in choosing up to five winning ideas, to be announced in February.
Google announced the project live on CNN on Wednesday morning.
"These ideas can be big or small, technology-driven or brilliantly simple -- but they need to have impact," Google said in a news release. "We know there are countless brilliant ideas that need funding and support to come to fruition."
Those are ideas such as the Hippo Water Roller, which Google cited as the kind of concept the company would be interested in rewarding. Developed in Africa, where it is most used, the Hippo Water Roller is a barrel-shaped container, attached to a handle, that holds 24 gallons of water and can be rolled with little effort like a wheelbarrow, making it easier for villagers on foot to transport critically needed fresh water to their homes.
People are encouraged to submit their ideas, in any of 25 languages, at www.project10tothe100.com through October 20. Entrants must briefly describe their idea and answer six questions, including, "If your idea were to become a reality, who would benefit the most and how?"
Google employees, with the help of an advisory board, will narrow the submissions to 100 semifinalists by January 27. Between January 27 and February 2, the public will vote online for their favorite ideas. A panel of as-yet-unnamed judges will then review the top 20 ideas and announce up to five winners in mid-February.
Funding, from a pool of $10 million, will be awarded in May. If the judges decide to reward five winning ideas, each will receive $2 million. If only two ideas are chosen, each will receive $5 million, and so on.
A Google spokeswoman was reluctant to set parameters for the submissions, although the project's Web site suggests that successful ideas should address such issues as providing food and shelter, building communities, improving health, granting more access to education, sustaining the global ecosystem and promoting clean energy.
"We don't want to limit it at all. We want a wide range of ideas," said Bethany Poole, product marketing manager at Google, who announced the project Wednesday on CNN along with Andy Berndt, managing director of Google's Creative Lab. "We think great ideas come from anywhere."
To cite Google's own example, Google News began after the September 11 terrorist attacks, when an engineer became frustrated that he couldn't aggregate news sources from around the world in one place.
By opening the project to anyone -- not just laboratories or universities -- Google is embracing "crowdsourcing," the Internet-age notion that the collective wisdom of mass audiences can be leveraged to find solutions to design tasks.
Project 10^100 is not unlike the Google-sponsored Lunar X PRIZE, a $30 million international competition to safely land a robot on the surface of the moon, travel 500 meters over the lunar surface, and send images and data back to Earth. The first team to land on the moon and complete the mission objectives will be awarded $20 million. At least 16 teams are competing.
Those who submit winning Project 10^100 ideas will not be required to have the technical expertise to implement them, Poole said. Google has not determined how winning projects will be sustained financially after the initial prize money runs out, she said.
People may submit more than one idea. Through its online submissions, Google also hopes to connect people with good ideas to charitable organizations who could help implement them, Poole said.

NBA Star Baron Davis: "I'm on Jenny Craig!"
First, it was Kirstie Alley. Then Valerie Bertinelli and Queen Latifah. Now, Jenny Craig's got a new famous recruit – and it's safe to say he's kind of a big deal.
A really big deal. Baron Davis, the 6' 3" L.A. Clippers guard, is the new man on the Jenny plan, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.
Inspired by current spokeswoman Latifah, Davis, 29, started the plan at the beginning of August to get in shape for basketball season.
"I know Queen Latifah, and when I saw her out there using it, I thought maybe I could use it, too, to work on my health and fitness goals and inspire others," he tells PEOPLE.
During the NBA off-season, Davis let his fitness slide. "In the off-season, it's kind of hard to maintain day-to-day," he says. "I don't want to get up and cook. And when I pig out, I'm the type of person where there's no limit to what I can do."
His favorite pig-out food? "Definitely Mexican," he says. "I go to Pinches Tacos in L.A., start with a carne asada burrito, and work my way down the menu."
Some Teasing
Despite some initial ribbing from friends when he signed up for the plan, Davis says he's inspired some of them to join, too.
"They were like, 'Huh? Why is Jenny Craig in your fridge? Why are you eating this?' But then I'd be at a friend's house and have my weekly check-in call, and they saw how serious I was about it and it helped."
And Jenny's not just for women, he says: "Men should take a page out of a woman's book – because they're a lot smarter than we are!"
Davis even made best friend and producing partner Cash Warren – husband of Jessica Alba and father to 3-month-old daughter, Honor – try a Jenny Craig meal. "Cash came over once and I 'cooked' for him. I put a meal on a nice plate. I looked like a gourmet chef!" he jokes. "But Cash knows I can't cook like that."
While he won't reveal how much weight he's lost on Jenny Craig until a press conference in L.A. on Friday, Davis says he feels "great" and has "a lot more energy."
He starts practicing with the Clippers this week.
Baron is wild. Definitely one of my favorite players in the league.

Tuesday's Top Ten White Dudes Who Got Hood PassPorts
10.) Steve Nash - On the strength that he could run the basketball court all day long he gets a hood passport. Put Nash on your squad and any five random scrubs and with all the no look passes and court vision he'd exhibit and you instantly got a winning team.
9. & 8.) Michael Myers & Jason Vorhees - I mean come on. There's not a person in the hood that could scare these two. In fact, a friend of mine from across the pond pointed out to me the fact that Jason actually walked through New York without any problems in one of those Friday the 13th joints. Straight strolled through back alleys and ayething like the shit was sesame street. As for Michael Myers, all I know is he's been shot, stabbed, electrocuted, blown up and arrested and he's still like fuck it. There's nothing in the hood that will deter Mike. They wouldn't be doing anything positive in the hood but than again most people there aren't either, unfortunately.
7. & 6.) Michael McDonald & Jon B - men who have done nothing but got brothas and sistas to settling down and making babies via soul-driven R&B for years. I mean these two you could put up against almost any of the greats the genre has ever seen. Michael McDonald remixes all the great timeless hits and does the justice to the originals that few can that leave you with a sense of how much he really respects the genre and it shows. As for Jon B. I don't care what you say, if you had a sister of the age of 12 or more in the 90's you know about Jon B. Even if you don't have a sister and you're not even as big a fan of the man that I am you still can't front and say you haven't a.) heard and b.) jammed to "Whatchu Say Boo" or "They Don't Know" and those are just two of his most well known songs.
The superlatives truly just won't stop on their own in adoration the black community can bestowe on the musical brilliance of these two so let me just say, I'd personally escort them into any hood in America myself and vouch for them.
5.) Tim Wise - The man drops knowledge. Very deep intellectual this man right here is. He's bold, honest and and is analytical in a way that others can't be. I'm sure certain white people think that this man is the 'White Uncle Ruckus' but they would only be saying that because they weren't being honest to and with themselves. In this video Tim speaks truth to power on 'how poor white people are duped into more closely identifying with conservative rich white people and voting against their economic interests than uniting with other similar economic demographics but letting something like race act as a hinderence to their own well-being'
Heavy.
3.) Robert DeNiro - He's gullier than most, dates women that look like Michelle Obama almost exclusively and can be found in any black person's movie collection as he certainly is no stranger to my DVD player. The man has exhibited all the swagger most of us have tried imitating but never perfecting since we were youngins. he could walk down any street in America and garner
respect. No doubt about it.
1.) Bill Clinton - He was the first black president, enjoyed black support all throughout the Lewinsky ordeal when he was toxic everywhere else. He gave the most moving speech at Coretta Scott King's funeral. He embraces black people (as long as they're not running against his wife which is understandable looking back at it). I mean the man even went on The Arsenio Hall Show. Can you think of any other politician that high up in the political stratosphere that would do such a thing.......and play his saxophone wearing some Locs. Plus his office is and has been in Harlem since he left the white house. Bill Clinton was/is a straight gangsta. We in the black community respect and admire him.
Rush Limbaugh Falsely Asserts That Barack Obama Is Muslim
22 Year-Old College Student Selling Virginity ($250,000 Minimum)
Offers Pouring Into Student Selling Her Virginity
A Sacramento State grad is trying to make money the old fashioned way, by auctioning off her virginity to help pay for her graduate studies. And so far, bidding is up to $250,000.
The 22-year-old who is using the pseudonym Natalie Dylan for safety reasons is going through a legal brothel in Nevada to sell her virginity. "The main purpose of this is to finance a couple things in my life," Dylan told CBS13. "I think empowerment of women is picking yourself up and doing something on your own to better yourself."
Dylan says she's already taken a polygraph test to prove her virginal status, and is also willing to undergo a medical exam.
The auction will take place at the Bunny Ranch in Carson City, Nevada with bids coming in through their website. Owner Dennis Hof tells CBS13 that eBay rejected the auction, so he'll handle the entire process.
Hof says Dylan is a bright, beautiful young woman who's going to consider a number of factors in her decision because she wants her first time to be a positive experience. "Natalie is a very smart girl. All she wants to do is get her master's degree in family and marriage counseling and be a psychologist. She's selling her virginity to accomplish that," Hof told CBS13. "She's smart enough to sell it. This is empowering her."
So far, hundreds of offers have already come in including some from male virgins. Natalie says she won't give up her virginity to the highest bidder. She's also seeking other qualities from her first lover. "I'm looking for intelligence and an overall nice person," said Dylan.
Hof also says Natalie Dylan ended up in a financial bind, because her stepfather allegedly used her college status to fraudulently apply for student loans, and then ran off with the money.
Dylan earned her bachelor's degree in women's studies from Sacramento State and plans to get her master's at the school beginning in January.
Many Sac State students say they're shocked to hear about their former classmate's plan, while others applaud her.
"She's just giving it to some random person. And I just think she should be giving it to someone special she loves," said one student on campus.
While another felt that selling her virginity for grad school "is a noble reason to get money."
As for Natalie, after claiming to hold on to her virginity for 22 years (although the Bunny Ranch website claims she is 21-years-old), she says she has a commodity not many people have to sell.
"When I was younger, I wanted 100% romance, possibly even wait for marriage. But as I grew up, reality kinda hit. And I think its a capitalistic society and I want to capitalize on this," explained Dylan.
She may be passing classes but her father failed.
Economy got otherwise educated women selling ass. Times are hard. Bush ought to be ashamed.

Download Michael Moore's New Movie "Slacker Uprising" Free and Legally
Download the movie here: Slacker Uprising. It's about getting young people into elections and voting for something different and new as Michael travels across America visiting campuses and getting into generally wild shit. Plus, let's face it, you can't beat free.
A brief statement from Michael Moore:
Friends,
This is it. The time has arrived! At midnight tonight, you can be one of the first people ever to legally download, for FREE, a brand new, feature-length film. It's my new movie, "Slacker Uprising," and I'm giving it to you as a gift of thanks for coming to my films over the 20 years I've been a filmmaker.
It's also one of my contributions to help get out the vote November 4th. That's why I'm giving you my blanket permission to not only download it, but also to email it, burn it, and share it with anyone and everyone (in the U.S. and Canada only). I want you to use "Slacker Uprising" in any way you see fit to help with the election or to do the work that you do in your community. You can show my film in your local theater, your high school classroom, your college auditorium, your church, union hall or community center. You can have your friends and neighbors over to the house for a viewing. You can broadcast it on TV, on cable access, on regular channels or on the web. It's completely free -- I don't want to see a dime from this. And if you want, you can charge admission or ask for a donation if it's to raise money for a candidate, a voter drive, or for any non-profit or educational purpose. In other words -- it's yours!
"Slacker Uprising" chronicles the 62-city tour I did leading up to the 2004 election. It is electrifying to see the tens of thousands of young people who were ready then for the uprising -- and who, this year, are actually making it happen. This is my concert film tribute to the young voters who are going to save this country from four more years of Republican rule.
There are a number of ways, beginning at midnight tonight, that you can download or stream "Slacker Uprising" thanks to our distributor, Brave New Films:
1) Blip.tv will provide standard resolution streaming, free of commercials and advertising.
2) Amazon Video on Demand will provide a high quality version of the above stream.
3) iTunes will make it easy for you to download "Slacker Uprising" on your iTunes, iPod, or Apple TV, and view it there or transmit it to your television. This way, the film can be portable as well as for home viewing.
4) Hypernia is providing bandwidth, servers and management to host "Slacker Uprising" online, so you can download the film and view it at any time or burn it onto a DVD.I am fortunate to have all these great people bringing you my movie for free. There will be no ads and they have all agreed to supply their services free of charge. All of them wanted to be part of this historic moment when the first major feature-length movie is being released for free on the internet.

Race Might Determine This Race Unfortunately
Next, the report just released by Yahoo:
In a report sure to spark a national conversation on race, an AP-Yahoo News study reported Saturday that white prejudice could be a significant enough factor to undermine Barack Obama’s bid to be the first black president of the United States.
The AP-Yahoo study concluded that white Democratic racism may cause 2.5 percent of voters to "turn away from Obama because of his race," roughly the margin of President Bush's victory over John F. Kerry in 2004.
The AP-Yahoo study found that one-third of white Democrats cited a negative adjective when describing blacks and, of those, just 58 percent said they planned to back Obama. For example, AP reported that more than a quarter of white Democrats agreed that “if blacks would only try harder, they could be just as well off as whites.” Four in 10 white independents agreed, while a quarter described blacks as "violent."
White Democratic supporters of Hillary Rodham Clinton were almost twice as likely as Obama’s primary supporters to cite a negative adjective in describing blacks — a finding consistent with trends in earlier polling. Only 59 percent of Clinton’s white Democratic supporters wanted Obama to be president.
The report may now begin a conversation on race, one notably absent considering the historic nature of Obama’s bid — and his own call for such a conversation in a speech delivered after racially charged remarks from his longtime pastor Jeremiah Wright emerged during the primary season. Just last month Obama accepted the Democratic nomination on the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech.
Throughout the 2008 presidential race, pollsters have been struggling to accurately gauge the degree of prejudice among whites and how that may affect the final outcome of this election. Democratic primary exit polls suggested that racism was a factor in the vote of as many as a fifth of white party members.
Analysts have long presumed that racism was underreported, as some who factor race into their vote would not be willing to admit that prejudice to pollsters.
Any possible latent racial prejudice among white Democrats has been of particular interest to analysts because it could potentially undo Obama’s presidential bid. The AP study found that racism pervades political identity but that Republicans are already predisposed to support John McCain, regardless of their views on race.
To detect unreported racial biases, the study, among other metrics, sat those interviewed in front of monitors, using black and white faces to “measure implicit racial attitudes, or prejudices that are so deeply rooted that people may not realize they have them.” The survey then used statistical modeling to estimate how representative those interviewed were of the electorate overall.
The survey's conclusions are likely to be controversial. AP reported that its team of pollsters “set out to determine why Obama is locked in a close race with McCain even as the political landscape seems to favor Democrats.”
The study, and report, both ignore other weaknesses widely considered by seasoned analysts to also undercut Obama’s bid, among them his inexperience, generally liberal record and the fact that no northern Democrat has been elected president since 1960.
Still, analysts have also long agreed that race was a crucial unknown factor in this presidential race. The study also notes that race has helped Obama win near uniform support among blacks — who have long tilted overwhelmingly Democratic — though it does not consider whether some whites are also supporting Obama because his victory could symbolize a large step forward in race relations.
The study also did not test whether another black candidate, with perhaps different views or biography, would have fared better among whites. Other critical analysts may note that the study does not investigate the voting history of those interviewed, as some Democrats have supported Republicans from Ronald Reagan to George W. Bush.
The study also does not investigate whether the views of those interviewed on significant issues, like abortion or national security, may drive conservative Democrats and independents, who in the Democratic primaries disproportionally favored Hillary Clinton.
Perhaps most noteworthy, the AP notes that the study itself found that “race is not the biggest factor driving Democrats and independents away from Obama.” It notes that “doubts about his competency loom even larger.”
More than one in five Democrats, the AP notes, questioned whether Obama can enact “the change they want” and said they were likely to vote against him for this reason.
The AP study also seems to have been conducted among a population of Democrats more skeptical of Obama than normal. While both the ABC News/Washington Post polls and the massive weekly summaries of the Gallup Poll show that since late August between 83 and 85 percent of Democrats say they will vote for Obama, the AP study interviewed a population where just seven in 10 Democrats said they support Obama. But perhaps the importance of the study is that it demonstrates racial attitudes also cannot be simply dismissed.
When those interviewed were offered a choice of positive and negative adjectives to describe blacks, one-fifth of all whites said the words “boastful” or "violent" “strongly applied,” while 29 percent cited the word "complaining.”
